The Electric Tower in Buffalo, New York was designed by architect James A. Johnston and completed in 1912. It was model after the then-demolished tower of light at the 1901 Panam Exposition that took place in Buffalo. It served as the headquarters for Niagara Mohawk Power Corporation until 1932 when it moved to Syracuse, New York. A regional headquarters for Niagara Mohawk Power was maintained here over the years. The building was purchased by Iskalo Development in 2004 and has since been redeveloped, including restoring the lobby to its original 1912 grandeur and adding a new state-of-the-art LED lighting system to illuminate the building even more at night, securing its place as one of the most unique buildings in Buffalo's skyline.
